I have been very excited to talk to you about the Rare Beauty Positive Light Tinted Moisturizer. It has had so many great things said about it I had to try for it myself. I am always on the hunt for the perfect tinted moisturiser and one that says it is a lightweight formula is worth a try, especially in the summer, because it’s too hot for full coverage foundation.

This post is about the Rare Beauty Tinted Moisturiser

Rare Beauty is owned and founded by actress and singer Selena Gomez, she launched the brand in 2020. I love her brands philosophy, that everyone is an individual and that they should be celebrated. Their products are all 100% vegan. Launching the Rare Beauty Positive Light Tinted Moisturiser in 2022, it’s been on my list to try for a while. This product doesn’t seem like just a moisturiser or a foundation, it has the best of both!

Formula

The Rare Beauty Positive Light Tinted Moisturizer comes in 24 shades, so there is plenty to choose from for all skin types. I use shade 12c. Light with a cool pink undertone. It has a light weight formula that blurs and evens your skin tone. The formula is designed to reduce the look of pores and fine lines. It has built in SPF 20 sunscreen and Vitamin E to help protect your skin against the sun, but doesn’t leave your skin feeling sticky. After application it will leave your skin feeling moisturised.

How to apply Positive Light Tinted Moisturizer

The application of this product is very easy. First, shake the bottle. Then squeeze out some of the product on to the back of your hand. Then blend into the skin with your fingertips. You only need to use your fingers to apply, but if you prefer you could use a make up brush or beauty blender but it is not necessary. If you need more coverage after the first application it is buildable by adding a few more drops of the tinted moisturiser. Once applied it was easy to blend and left my skin with an even coverage.

Packaging

The packaging of the Rare Beauty Positive Light Tinted Moisturizer is very minimalist and classic. It comes in a squeezable bottle that has a nozzle on the end to make application easier. It is the perfect size bottle to take with you when you’re on the go and want to add a little touch up. I love the shape of the bottle as it has been designed to make it easy to hold.

Results

The Rare Beauty Positive Light Tinted Moisturizer is very buildable to get a fuller coverage, but you do need to use a lot the of product to get a full coverage. It gives a very natural looking finish to the skin and it blended easily. It reduced the redness and blemishes on my skin, whilst nourishing the skin as a moisturizer.

I found it lasted throughout the day because it sits on the skin rather than settling into it so it moves with your skin. Because of the consistency of the product it felt like I wasn’t wearing anything on my skin. It didn’t leave my skin feel sticky or heavy despite putting on a few layers of the product.

Would I Use The Rare Beauty Positive Light Tinted Moisturizer Again?

Yes! I loved how it was so easy to apply and how buildable it was. It gave me a natural look that with an extra layer could look a bit more full glam. I also thought that it left my skin feeling like I wasn’t wearing any product whilst having a light weight coverage.

When trying it, I found that this is a must have for summer beauty as it sat on my skin without feeling tacky. I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a more natural look with built in SPF 20 to protect your skin.

Often I will opt for a tinted moisturiser instead of a foundation because I find they are too heavy and leave my skin feeling dry which enhances my fine lines. The Rare Beauty Positive Light Tinted Moisturiser didn’t feel this way. I will be continuing to this product in the future.
