From leftovers to expired food, once you have cleaned everything in your fridge it will help to eliminate nasty odours. I always take everything out and wipe down all shelves. Lastly, cut a lemon in half and place it at the back of your fridge to neutralise odours.

3. Take out any rubbish

If there’s one thing that makes your home smell really bad, really quickly is waste. To eliminate this take out your rubbish everyday, you’ll be surprised how much of a difference it will make. Another great way to reduce the smell of rubbish in your house, is to use scented bin bags. These have made a huge difference, my favourite scent is lavender.

4. difusser

Something I like to do daily is add a few drops of essential oils into my diffuser and let the fragrance drift through your whole house.

7. OPen windows

Opening a window and letting the fresh air in is often overlooked. This is one of the easiest and quickest ways to remove stale odours from lingering in your home. Next time you are cleaning or cooking, open your windows to create a through breeze, allowing the air to circulate.

8. hidden sachets

This is such a great hack I saw on TikTok, fill an organza bag with unstoppables or scent boosters and unzip you coach cushions and put them inside. But if you have keep children keep them out if reach.

9. fabric sprays

Fabric sprays are a quick and easy way to eliminate bad odours that cling to furniture such as cushions, curtains and sofas. Be careful to check the care instructions before spraying. 11. Simmer on the hob

Simmering fruits and spices on the hob, makes your home smell incredible! My favourite is lavender and mint during the summer and cinnamon and cloves during the autumn winter months. Using a simmer pot is an affordable and sustainable way to bring beautiful aromas to your space.

12. houseplants and flowers

I love how fresh flowers and plants smell. They are a perfect way to fill your home with natural scents, not only that they make your space look good too. 15. Hang your washing on a line

A great way to make your home smell good is to minimise the amount of washing you have drying around your house. If possible hang it on a washing line. Not only will your clothes and sheets smell insanely good but also your home won’t smell like musty and damp.

16. Use washing powder that smells good

Freshly washed laundry smells so good, if you choose a great smelling laundry detergent. Another way of reducing bad odours from washing is to hang it straight way. Leaving washing sitting around when it’s damp emanates a damp smell. My favourite laundry detergent is so good!

17. Clean out your washing machine

After a while your washing machine will start to smell of mildew and damp if it’s not cleaned regularly. Limescale, bacteria and germs begin to build up. After every use, wipe around the inside and keep the door open to prevent moisture from building up in the drum. Once a month give it a deep clean to keep on top of bad odours coming from your machine, it will also prolong the life of your machine.

18. Regularly clean your kitchen sink

If you’re anything like me, you’ll know how important it it to keep your sink clean. You use your sink so many times during the day, from washing your hands to cleaning your dishes. After a while, germs and bacteria build up causing your sink and drain to have bad odours. I recommend, wiping round your sink with antibacterial spray after use. Regularly deep clean your sink and drain by making up a 50/50 solution of water and bleach. Don’t forget about the overflows as this is easy to overlook.

19. Add bicarbonated soda to shoes and trainers

We all know how bad your entryway can smell if there are smelly shoes there. But it’s so easy to get rid of stale odours, simply sprinkle some bicarbonate soda inside your shoes to absorb odours and bacteria.
