What is a capsule wardrobe?
A capsule wardrobe is a minimal collection of clothes that can take you through the season that work together that will make you look stylish. A capsule wardrobe normally consists of muted tones. It contains around 10 pieces, and each piece can be interchanged to go with each other. Pieces like jeans, a t’shirt, coat and a skirt.
Capsule wardrobes have been around since the 1970’s and started with Susie Faux. who owns the Wardrobe boutique in London.
When your putting together your capsule wardrobe, think about the essential items in your wardrobe that can be mixed with other pieces. take a look at what you already have and pick out items that can be worn with other garments. Then as you go through your wardrobe you will be able to see what is missing.
