Long haul flights can be a daunting thought with cancelled flights and long delays, but if you get organised ahead of your flight it will take the stress out of flying. In this guide you will learn tried and tested travel essentials that will make your flight more enjoyable.

Over the years I have taken plenty of long haul flights. Travelling all around the world, from Brazil to the US. Every time I have improved how to organise what to take on the flight to make it more comfortable and enjoyable. After a lot of trial an error I now consider myself a little bit of an expert and want to share with you the 21 travel essentials I won’t travel without.

Carry on Suitcase

When it comes to travel I love to be organised. I used to take any bag I could find to take away with me. Until I invested in a Lightweight carry on suitcase. This was a game changer for me. It make it a lot easier to pack as it has two compartments with dividers. This carry on suitcase is light weight and has 4 wheels making it easy to manoeuvre.

Sleep Eye Mask

Taking a Sleep masks with you can be a lifesaver on a long haul flight. I recommend you choose one that blocks the light and is comfortable to wear, that doesn’t press to hard on your face.

Flight Socks

If you are flying long haul, you’ll want a pair of flight socks. These help to reduce pain and swelling by increasing the pressure on your legs it increases blood flow. These have are cushioned, providing support and comfort.

Travel Blanket and Pillow

At some point during a long haul flight you will probably want to have a sleep. I like to take a Travel blanket and pillow with me because the one’s the airlines provide are not thick enough. Choose one that can be packed easily and is feels soft. This travel blanket and pillow set will fit in your hand luggage and keep you warm and cosy on your flight.
